We offer seven individually styled rooms, from cosy standards to spacious deluxe and premium rooms. Set within Cullompton’s historic King’s Head coaching inn, our rooms combine original character with modern comfort, continuing a tradition of welcoming travellers that dates back nearly 200 years.
Our Story
A historic building, given back its rhythm
In 2020, we took on a daunting but exciting challenge — purchasing the much-loved but sadly rundown King’s Head in the heart of Cullompton. The building needed significant investment and major building work, but we could see its potential.
We wanted to preserve the character and history of this old coaching inn while giving it a new lease of life. With care and attention to detail, we lovingly transformed the property from top to bottom.
Today, the ground floor is home to a beautiful Italian restaurant, one of the best places to eat in Cullompton. Upstairs, we created seven boutique, individually styled rooms, each designed around the building’s unique character and features.
From a tired old pub to a beautiful restaurant and seven distinctive rooms, The Roost is a building with a past, a present and a bright future.
